Hi Liz ! thanks for sharing that with me ! I’ve never made gingerbread cookies with honey LOL, but I DO love honey ! so I may just make a recipe for “honey spice cookies” no clue if they even exist, but I love trying new things. Glad you were able to twist the recipe and make it your own ! Thanks for watching my video Liz :-)

Hi Liz ! I’m glad you found some ! Even if it is not fancy molasses, use it ! :-) Where I come from, 100 years ago, the men would eat this on toast in the morning, before going into the forest to chop wood. It’s very good on toast ! …. toast some bread, put some butter on the toast, now a spread a little bit of molasses on top… YUM ! :-) ….. but for now….. try gingerbread cookies :-) my recipe is easy, and you WILL like it :-) ) Merry Christmas to you and your family !

Hi australizz, unfortunately I have only made these cookies with molasses, it is a very important ingredient. You could try using honey instead, or brown sugar, even corn syrup. I’ve never tried this however, so I can’t tell you how the taste may be Liz.

Hi!!! These cookies look soo good. But it’s difficult for me to find molasses, does it have substitute? Or how can I make molasses?
Thanks!

Hi Angie, ah perfect ! It’s nice making the dough the day before, or days before, then just use it when you need it. You are going to like the baked cookies :-) Thanks for watching :-) Remember to bake less time if you want them chewy, not sure how your family likes them but you can experiment with the baking times. Have fun ! :-)

Egads! I can just take that whole trifle and eat it myself. This is the reason why I cannot make something like this–when I bring this to someone’s house, there’s always a spoonful or several chunks gone :)

Um, stop buying crappy spatulas? I’ve had mine for almost ten years and it’s still sealed onto the wood handle. It gets cleaned thoroughly after every use and I’m sure Laura knows to do the same.

People! Trifle is NOT meant to be a neat dessert – you can’t cut it. Just stick a big spoon in and scoop that good stuff into a bowl. So yeah, it’s messy. Gloriously messy. Stop your freakin’ complaining.
